Meeting Point Details:
Begin your adventure at the intersection of Madaket Road and Quaker Rd. Proceed two miles along Madaket Road to reach the Sanford Farm parking lot, located on your left. This is where our journey into nature commences.
What to Expect:
Throughout our easy-going walk, we’ll traverse the wide, welcoming trails of Nantucket’s serene landscapes. Along the way, Neil Foley will host engaging mini-lectures, shedding light on the rich biodiversity that thrives in these habitats and the critical importance of wildlife conservation. This educational trek is designed to inspire and inform, offering insights into how each of us can contribute to preserving our environment for future generations.
Preparation and Attire:
- Comfort First: Ensure to wear sturdy walking shoes for a comfortable trek through nature’s paths.
- Stay Hydrated: Bring along water to remain hydrated during our exploration.
- Weather-Ready: In case of light drizzle, a rain jacket is advised to keep you dry. However, should the forecast predict heavy rain, the event will be postponed in favor of a clear, enjoyable day.
